Characterized by reductive formalism and an innate sense of interiority, his works resonate with a thematic thread that intertwines personal introspection with profound artistic expression. This narrative woven into his creations invites viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery, where the evocative power of Chang's prints serves as a mirror reflecting the complexities of the human experience.

”What I truly love about printmaking, is that it’s a collaboration. When you collaborate, you’re engaged in a dialogue which opens the possibility of expressing something felt and deeply personal.” – Michael B. Chang.

As Chang's artistic odyssey unfolds, his unwavering dedication to uncompromising work and experimental exploration remains a guiding force. Collaborative in nature yet deeply introspective, his creative process transcends conventional boundaries, offering viewers a glimpse into a realm where technical mastery, personal narrative, and the quest for emotional resonance converge. Each print is not merely an artistic statement but a testament to the endless possibilities of the creative journey, where the interplay of skill, intuition, and introspection illuminates the transformative potential of the artistic process.

“I have worked with printmaking since I was introduced to this craft at art college in London in '95. Printmaking is an art form with a history of its own to discover, which add something of cultural value to the projects I develop.” Michael B. Chang
